Synopsis: Writer/actor Billy Bob Thornton (“Sling Blade”) directed this adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s award-winning novel in which a young Texan drifter named John Grady Cole (Damon) travels to Mexico with a friend in order to find a better life for himself. But he places himself in great danger when he falls in love with the daughter (Cruz) of a wealthy Mexican landowner, and must fight for both her love and his life.
