Synopsis: This thrilling psychological drama takes a terrifying trip back in time to recreate one of history's most horrific events in an effort to save a man from himself. Timofeyev (Malcolm McDowell) is confined to a modern-day Russian psychiatric hospital, convinced that he was once Yakov Yurovsky, the man who assassinated Tsar Nicholas II and his family during the Russian Revolution of 1918. In his quest to help his patient, Timofeyev's doctor, Smirnov travels back to the site of the actual assassination with him to re-enact the carnage in order to break its spell.
