Synopsis: August 6, 1945, will forever go down in history as the day the atomic bomb exploded on the city of Hiroshima in Japan, killing tens of thousands of people. The decision to drop the weapon of mass destruction was difficult for the American government, but one that its leaders felt was necessary to end World War II.
