Synopsis: When Pablito's abusive stepfather cruelly trains Conquistador, a thoroughbred horse belonging to a General in the Mexican Army, the little boy runs away with the horse before it can be destroyed. While trying to stay one step ahead of the military and his stepfather, Pablito and the horse come face to face with banditos, a bullfight and a band of gypsies. A kind priest tries to convince the boy that stealing is wrong and encourages him to do what's right.
