Synopsis: Based on the novel by Anthony Price and originally aired in the UK as part of the Chessgame series, this British espionage thriller stars Terence Stamp as David Audley, former Oxford professor turned intelligence agent. In this follow-up to Deadly Recruits and Cold War Killer, a senior official of the Foreign Office, Guy Llewellyn (John Rowe), has been the target of an assassination attempt...twice! He demands that Audley had the investigation, but is Llewellyn's confidence in the agent genuine, or is it an elaborate ruse for something more sinister? The only clue is a name, and it's up to Audley to turn the tables on the would-be assassins!
