The second season of buffy is one of it's best. It takes what was good about the 1st (comedy, horror, action, interesting characters) and adds a very compelling overall story arc. There are some weak episodes within the 22, but even these are enjoyable. This simply leaves you thirsty for more.

The video really hasn't improved since the 1st season, but again this is 16mm video...its watchable. The audio is the same as the 1st...clear an working...but not much surround or bass work. The extras have improved. This time we get 4 commentaries...all with writers. Joss Whedon's is the best and is funny and imformative. Marti Noxon'd 2 commentary tracks are decent and offer plenty of info. Doug Petrie's is ok, but he tends to promote Angel. There are 3 featurettes...which add up to about an hour. One focuses on the sets and is a good watch. One talks about all the villains in the 1st 2 seasons...its entertaining enough but doesnt actually tell us anything new. The last featurette is about the make up which documents hoe the vampire an demon make up is applied. The American TV Spots are humorous...theres also 4 scripts, a trailer and some image galleries.
